Slow reader? I don't think so...

Okay I have NO idea why Treasure Island is slowing me down... it seems like all of the classics that I read slows me down and yet I could read a YA in a day!
This is weird; as much as I love classics it seems that my pace in reading is much slower.
Do you guys know what I'm talking about? If so please leave a comment if you have similar experiences as I do right now!
What are some books that you have read that takes a million years to finish? I think this one might be for me... but even so I won't give up I really want to read this till the very end!

    It normally takes me longer to read classics than some contemporary fiction as well. It might be because newer books are more heavy on dialogue, which is slightly quicker to read, whereas classics have more narrative detail. Also, sometimes classics are weightier in the subject matter, so that there is more to think about?
