Exploring Kindle

Recently my parents bought me a Kindle Keyboard. At first I was skeptical even the thought of owning it. I used to think the idea was ridiculous because I can't imagine myself reading through a device instead of a physical book. I have always thought that physical books were much better because you get the feel for it and turning an actual page is quite self-satisfying (TRUE!). But when I began reading more books it was difficult for me since our local library doesn't have enough resources and its rather far from where I live so I had to find a way. Books can be expensive ranging from $10-40+ so buying books from Barnes and Nobles is out of the question. As I was researching more about the Kindle I decided to give it a shot!

I was very pleased with my decision because not only do I get to bring 45+ books anywhere but its very cheap! Almost all of the classics are free and their special offers are AMAZING! But even so there is no way for me to abandon physical books. I've learned that first impressions about things shouldn't dictate your choices; try to get to know more about it before you judge.

  1. I agree with your initial reservations about the Kindle. I love the physical feel of books too much to exchange that for a keyboard. But, I do like that classics are free because I love classics! And the Kindle is a lot lighter to carry on vacation than a whole stack of books!
