A Book For .50 cents? No way!

Recently at my school's library as I was doing my work there was a cart that attracted my attention because it said "Books for .50 cents" and immediately without hesitation I instantly bought two books which was The Golden Globe by John Varley and The Hollow Hills by Mary Stuart. The Golden Globe took an interest in me because the synopsis is very interesting; I'm looking forward to read both of these books.
Especially that both books are paperback its crazy! And I think this day was just a lucky day for me :)
I'm very happy with my purchase (you rarely buy a book less than $5 let alone .50 cents! What a bargain).
What is the best bargains for you guys? Do you ever buy bargained books?

Have A Happy Reading

  1. I buy bargain books all the time. I hate to pay full price! They recently had a big book sale at my local library and I bought 4 books for $5. They were by an author that I like, but most of whose works are out of print. I also love going to the used bookstores in my area. There are two that will give you credit if you give them books. I recently went on Amazon and was looking through their books under $5 section. I ended up getting 7 books for $25 - yay! But, my favourite bargain book place in my area is a used book sale that is just held once a year by the local women's shelter as a fundraiser, and all the paperbacks are $1. Getting good books and giving to charity all at the same time! Well, I think I'm rambling on too long, but I am looking forward to what you think of Treasure Island, and These Old Shades. I just love everything by Georgette Heyer, and These Old Shades is one of my favourites of hers.
